Special Considerations:
· In the case of EYFS –
Reception (KG 2), if the candidate is above 4 years and has never been to
school, TNG may advise parents to prepare the child for the Reception. However,
if the child is unable to perform as per the expected level during assessment,
the child may be considered for Early Years (KG 1), provided that the child's
age does not exceed 4 years, 4 months as of 30th September.
· In the case of Year 1, if
the candidate is above 5 years and has never been to school, TNG may advise
parents to prepare the child, and the application will initially be processed
for Year 1. However, if the child is unable to meet the required assessment
benchmarks for Year 1, they may be considered for Reception (KG 2), provided
the child’s age does not exceed 5 years, 4 months as
of 30th September.
· While the cut-off date for
the calculation of age is 30th September, the Ministry of Education
and Higher Education allows exceptions until 31st December for KG I,
KG II, and Year 1.
Priority Admissions:
TNG School offers priority to siblings of existing TNG students and candidates attending British and Cambridge curriculum schools or nurseries. However, this does not guarantee admission; all candidates
applying for placement, including those with priority, will be required to go
through the entire admission process, including assessment.
Process of Admission Application
- Parents are requested to visit the TNG website, i.e., www.tngqatar.com to apply online.
- Once the application is received by the Registrar, it is reviewed and forwarded to the Ministry PRO for the student's status to be checked in the National Student Information System by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
- Should there be feedback needed to be shared with parents regarding the student's status or missing documents, it is shared after the review.
- Once the parent reverts back, the application is reviewed again, and the assessment is scheduled.
- Once the student completes the assessment, it is checked by the faculty, and the result is shared with the parents within 3-5 working days.
- Should the student meet the entrance criteria, the offer for admission is sent. Should the student fail to meet the criteria, the parent is informed accordingly.
Please note: All formal communication regarding the application status is through email.

The admission offer must be accepted by the parents within five (5) working days. Parents may request a single extension of up to five additional working days in writing, which may be granted at the discretion of the Registrar.
Medical conditions and Records
TNG School requires current and accurate information regarding a candidate's or student's medical, mental, and psychological health conditions. Parents must provide and update the school if the circumstances change. Records of previous medical treatments, allergies, and vaccinations must be provided at the time of registration.
TNG is a mainstream school with limited specialist resources. While we strive to support students, our facilities and staffing may not be appropriate for students with mild, moderate, or severe special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Each application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if the school can adequately meet the student's needs as outlined in their educational psychologist reports and medical files. We appreciate the understanding of parents regarding the school's current capabilities and resources.
Behaviour
TNG School considers
that good student behaviour is fundamental in enabling the best learning
experience possible, and all students enrolled at the school should have a
positive attitude to learning and respect for the school community. Placement is
offered subject to good conduct and behaviour.
Re-admission
School may accept the re-admission of those students who maintained a good disciplinary record while at TNG previously. Parents may apply for re-admission providing a valid reason.
Re-admission without educational gap:
If a parent applies for the school leaving certificate at the end of an acaedmic year, however, later changes their decision and wishes for the student to continue the next educational year at TNG, they should contact the Registrar. The re-admission will be subject to the availability of seats. As there would be no educational gap, the same student ID may be reactivated.
