Non conformity:
non-fulfilment of a requirement
A failure to fulfil a requirement. A requirement can
be a standard, a policy, a procedure, or a legal regulation.
Curriculum:
Curriculum is the framework for a program of study, defining- What to teach (content),
- How to teach (instructional methods), and
- What to expect from learners (learning outcomes and assessments).
- Framework – Emphasises structure and intentionality.
- Program of Study – Broadens the scope beyond a single course (e.g., a grade level, degree, or training program).
- What to Teach (Content) – Standards, topics, and knowledge.
- How to Teach (Methods) – Pedagogy, resources, and activities.
- Expectations from Learners (Outcomes & Assessments) – Benchmarks for success.

Pedagogy:
Approach or process of teaching.
Quality Assurance:
Internal and external processes for ensuring the quality of an object or institution maintains a desired level.
Scheme of Work (SoW):
A structured, long-term teaching plan—developed by curriculum authorities or educators—that translates the curriculum framework into manageable units. It specifies what content will be taught (topics/skills), the timeline and sequence for delivery, and the recommended teaching strategies, resources, and assessments for a term or academic session.
Cambridge Curriculum:
The international educational programme and qualifications
framework offered by Cambridge Assessment International Education form the
core of TNG's academic offering.
Continuous Improvement:
Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle: An ongoing effort to enhance products,
services, or processes. These efforts can seek incremental improvement over
time or breakthrough improvement all at once. At TNG, this is embodied in the
PDCA cycle.
EdTech:
Educational Technology: the use of digital tools and resources to facilitate
teaching, learning, and school administration.
Qatar National School Accreditation:
Qatar National
School Accreditation (QNSA): A comprehensive national school evaluation
system designed to ensure schools in Qatar meet high standards of quality and
performance.
Stakeholder:
Stakeholder: Any individual or group with an interest in the school's success or
performance. This includes learners, parents, staff, the Board of Governors,
the Ministry of Education, and the wider community.
